Shark New Hair Tool Had 10K Waitlist but Does It Truly Deliver Salon Results

Shark New Hair Tool Had

Beauty editors get really excited when they hear about a new hair tool coming out, especially if it’s from Shark. People know that the brand uses the latest technology in its products, so we weren’t surprised to hear that 10,000 people were on the waiting list for their new wet-to-dry styler, the SilkiPro Straight. Plus, they say it works on all hair types, which is great news for us.

My hair is naturally wavy, so I’ve used similar models like the Dyson Airstraight for a long time when I want a sleeker look. I wanted to see how Shark’s product compared to other ones on the market and how smooth it made my hair… Check out how I did below.

What sets the Shark SilkiPro Straight apart?

The Shark SilkiPro comes with three interchangeable combs that are meant to reach every strand from root to tip. This is different from what Dyson and GHD’s Duet 2-in-1 Hot Air Styler offer. This mostly means that it’s much easier to straighten your roots, which is something I’ve had trouble with with other products like this.

A hair dryer doesn’t usually get us talking, but ghd’s newest release has exceeded all of our expectations.

A woman with long straight blonde hair and tinted maroon sunglasses wearing a beige military-style jacket is the best hair straightener.

Hair tools can cost a lot of money. Here are the 14 best hair straighteners that are worth the money.

The Dyson Airwrap is great, but it costs a lot. Here are the 9 best alternatives that will give you good hair for less.

Another thing that bothered me was that these combs were made to work like the “chase method” that hairstylists use to make hair more tense and easier to control.

The SilkiPro also has HeatSense Ceramic Plates with a built-in sensor that checks its temperature 1000 times per second to help keep it from getting too hot. and it was put through its paces on Shark’s For All Hair Kind platform to make sure it worked well on all hair types.

This tool was made to work just as well on people with curly coily or textured hair, and the results are said to last all day.

  • You can use a wide-tooth comb to rough-dry your roots and to stretch out thick, long, textured, or curly hair.
  • A soft comb to use to get a natural, straight look with body and movement.
  • A precise comb that gives you more tension and control for a smoother, straighter finish.

You can get the Shark SilkiPro Straight in two colors: Plum Satin and Rose Petal.

An honest review of the Shark SilkiPro by a beauty editor

I have very long, thick, and naturally wavy hair, so I sprayed my heat protectant spray on it and then used the airflow mode on the styler with the device clamped shut. This let me blow-dry my roots to make sure they were dry. You can also do this with just the combs, which I love.

I then chose the precision comb to get the smoothest finish, and I used both the wet and dry modes to finish my hair. I did think it was a little hard to figure out how to use all the different modes and combs. Actually, at first, I had trouble getting the “pin-straight” look I wanted. But after using it a few times, I found the right comb for my hair, which isn’t naturally straight and can be hard to style. The precision comb works great for my hair.

But once I figured it out, I loved it. The SilkiPro made my hair so smooth and shiny, even without my usual styling products. It also lived up to its claims about how long it would last. It costs £249.99 which is a little less than its direct competitors, and since you’re technically getting two tools in one—a wet and dry straightener—I’d say it’s a great deal.

It’s one of the best wet-to-dry stylers I’ve ever used, and for people with curly, coily, or kinky hair, it’s a real game-changer. The attachments really do make sure that each hair type is taken care of. Also, it’s not as big as other models on the market, which makes styling much easier.
