Shark’s New Hair Tool With 10K Waitlist Finally Tested to See If Viral Hype Truly Delivers

When a new hair tool comes out, beauty editors get very excited, especially if it’s from Shark. The brand is known for using the latest technology in its new products, so we weren’t surprised to hear that 10,000 people were on the waiting list for their new wet-to-dry styler, the SilkiPro Straight. Also, they say it works on all hair types, which is great news for us.

Because my hair is naturally wavy, I’ve used similar models, like the Dyson Airstraight, for a long time when I want a sleeker look. I wanted to know how Shark’s product compared to others on the market and how smooth it made my hair feel. Take a look at how I did below.

What is different about the Shark SilkiPro Straight?

The Shark SilkiPro comes with three different combs that can be switched out. These combs are made to reach every strand from root to tip. This is different from what Dyson and GHD’s Duet 2-in-1 Hot Air Styler offers. This mostly means that it’s much easier to straighten your roots, which is something I’ve had trouble with when using similar products.Hair tools can cost a lot of money. Here are the 14 best hair straighteners that are worth the money.

Another thing that bothered me about these combs was that they were made to mimic the “chase method” that hairstylists use to make hair more tense and easier to control.

The SilkiPro also has HeatSense Ceramic Plates with a sensor that checks the temperature 1000 times per second to help keep it from getting too hot. and it was tested on Shark’s For All Hair Kind platform to make sure it worked well on all hair types and got 5-star reviews.

But the most important thing is that this tool was made to work just as well on people with curly, coily, and textured hair, and the results are said to last all day.

What is included with the Shark SilkiPro?

The SilkiPro comes with a heatproof case and three combs that you can switch out depending on how you want to style your hair.

A Beauty Editor’s honest opinion of the Shark SilkiPro

I have very long, thick, and naturally wavy hair, so I sprayed my heat protectant on and then used the styler’s airflow mode with the device clamped shut. This let me blow-dry my roots to make sure they were dry. You can also do this with just the combs, which I love.

I then used the precision comb to get the smoothest finish, and I finished my hair by using both the wet and dry modes. It was a little hard for me to figure out how to use all the different modes and combs. At first, I had trouble getting the “pin-straight” look I wanted. But after a few tries, I found the right comb for my hair, which isn’t naturally straight and can be hard to style. The precision comb is a winner for hair like mine.

But after I figured it out, I really liked it. The SilkiPro made my hair so smooth and shiny, even without the usual styling products I use. It also lived up to its promises of lasting longer. At £249.99, it’s also a little cheaper than its direct competitors. Plus, since you’re technically getting two tools in one—a wet and dry straightener—I’d say it’s a great deal.

This is one of the best wet-to-dry stylers I’ve ever used. It’s a real game-changer for people with curly, coily, or kinky hair because the attachments make sure that each hair type is taken care of. Also, it’s not as big as other models on the market, which makes it much easier to style.
