Princess Charlene of Monaco Advocates a World Where Every Little Girl Can Dream Without Barriers

Princess Charlene of Monaco

the Principality showed its strong and united support for women’s rights, from Princess Charlene to grassroots groups across the region.

Princess Charlène sent a clear message for International Women’s Day: We forget too often that women’s power doesn’t need to be created, it needs to be freed. Equality is not a gift; it is a right that everyone should have and use all the time. The wife of Prince Albert II ended with a wish for the future: On this 8 March, my wish is simple: that every little girl can grow up without barriers or obstacles.

On Sunday, the Sovereign wasn’t the only one who spoke out. Some people from Monaco chose March 8 to reaffirm their commitment. Pink Ribbon Monaco, an organization of which she is an honorary president, honored all the amazing women who work every day to support women’s health research, raise awareness, and witness. Your voices, dedication, and bravery make this movement possible. We continue together for awareness prevention research, and our future, said Natasha Frost-Savio, the organization’s president.

The Committee for the Promotion and Protection of Women’s Rights also said again that its work doesn’t end on a single date. After putting on Powher Day on March 6 at the Espace Léo Ferré, it asked everyone to celebrate, share, and support women’s rights initiatives all year long. Céline Cottalorda said that day, 8 March is a date, one day in the year. But women’s rights are important all year long. Being united and fighting for a cause is what matters most.

On the National Council side, Béatrice Fresko-Rolfo, chair of the Committee on Women’s Rights, Family, and Equality, talked about how far along the legislative process is and what the elected officials goals are for 2026. This shows that institutional commitment is also a long term goal. Women’s rights are never fully gained. They are built, made stronger, and protected, she said.
